365: Week 1

January 12, 2015

Hello and Happy New Year to you! I took a slightly unplanned blog break over the holidays and have been easing myself back into things over the last week. This includes making some fun plans for this here blog.

One commitment I have made this year is a 365 photography project. There is no set theme, I just take a photo a day – otherwise I find I tend to be very sporadic and take lots of photos one day then don’t take my camera out for several days. I am loving it so far although I don’t feel like I’ve come out of my comfort zone yet. I have decided to post the photos here once a week, with very few words, so here is week 1. You might be able to tell that one of the family had a birthday this week.

Thanks so much Ines, it is definitely proving more of a challenge some days than others but it will be so good to look back on if I can keep it up.

Hi Laura! Happy New Year. I love that photo of your son in THE sun, it’s the third one down. I’m taking on a 365 project this year too – it’s a good way to start, isn’t it?

I meant, the sixth one down. They are all beautiful of course but I especially love that one:)

Thank you Brienne. I’m excited to hear you’re a 365 project too – will you be posting on your blog?

We didn’t get much sun that week so I had to get out and capture it when it made a brief appearance.

Love these! Especially the second one and the birthday candles shot.

Thanks Abby. I think the birthday candles one is my favourite – mainly because he’s been looking forward to being 4 for soooooo long and he enjoyed his birthday so much. Now that’s over he’s started counting down to starting school!
